I've had my Wifi-only Xoom for about 1.5 years now (bought new), and it's still going strong, now on Android Jelly Bean (which this refurb unit should be upgradeable to upon receipt). As the Xoom is an official Google-supported device, it tends to get system updates before most other devices, which is a nice benefit.

My Xoom has been very convenient for all sorts of things, from taking notes and looking up data in meetings to taking copies of test results and a list of questions to my doctor. I've also used it for remote access to my work PC through Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) and my home PC through LogMeIn Ignition, but I do recommend using a bluetooth keyboard and mouse for that rather than the touch interface.

Xoom is also great for entertainment. I can hook it up to my friend's TV with the HDMI out and stream from my Netflix, Hulu, or YouTube super easy. The one issue with audio and video files (and this is true across all Android devices) is that you may run into compatibility issues between your media format (codecs used) and OS/app support, so you may need to use your favorite conversion program to convert files to better-supported formats for optimum playability.

I'm not a big gamer, but I do like some puzzle, arcade, and other casual games, and the Xoom works great for most of those for me, although some games designed for small screens are sub-optimal on the Xoom's 10.1 inch screen and playability may be reduced. Games like the popular Angry Birds work great and are more fun on the larger screen. The one issue I've had with games was when letting children play with my device; unlike with Android phones, there is no (so far) hiding the menu bar, so kids can get into settings or email from the menu bar.

I have an iPad and I bought this for my daughter so she could watch movies on it while traveling. My parents moved to Florida and instead of buying a portable dvd player I bought this and added the movies via the micro usb. I love this device. We watch movies, play games, surf the web, etc on it. The battery life is better than my iPad and so is the sound quality. If you already have an iPhone or an iPod I suggest you buy this instead because it gives you a variety. The iPad is just a big iPod/iPhone and it gets a bit boring if you already have one of these devices. The Xoom is a fun and well made device. Mine is running Jelly Bean currently with no issues.

Have owned my Xoom for almost a year now. Use it daily for e-mail, chat, Facebook, IM, web browsing, document production, reading e-books, and much more.

Mine is only WiFi and I paid about $150 more than what Geeks.com is asking (love these people). Mine was a refurbished model, too.

Have had only one problem when Android 4.1.1 was pushed on it as an update. WiFi stopped working. Motorola fixed it right away and all is well now.

I find no faults with this device at all. Easy setup, connection settings, great settings application for configuring everything on the device.

I bought the speaker/dock and love it. With my PandoraOne account, I can listen to music anytime and anywhere as long as I am WiFi connected.

I also purchased a case for it that had a Bluetooh keyboard. Makes it almost like a computer. With 32Gb internal and the option for another 32Gb external (get yours from Geeks.com)its a power house for storage.

The Android apps are so numerous and most of them are free. I've only paid for a couple of apps that I needed and they were only a couple of bucks.

I highly recommend this device even if you are not a Verizon subscriber. 3G is too slow anyway. Have it with my Samsung Galaxy SII which is a miniature version of this tablet.

Another great feature is its ability to tether with desktops & laptops. Moving files and data around is a breeze. I keep most of my stuff on my DropBox account so I can access it from anywhere. Then with the free office suite I have I can create or modify documents and e-mail them to anyone as needed.

Oh, yeah, I got my Xoom to take on trips so I didn't have to lug my laptop and Targus lap cooling device on excursions to places we visit. So much better with my Xoom.
