The Sanyo CG6 Xacti Digital Media Camera records both 6 megapixel still images and 640x480 resolution digital video in a compact design. The CG6 combines the functionality of a digital camera and a digital camcorder in one stunning device. Different than a standard digital camera that shoots short video clips, the CG6 shoots full motion video at standard TV resolution of 640 x 480.
The Xacti CG6 features a proprietary MPEG-4 engine to execute a vast number of calculations in a short period of time. This engine enables the Xacti CG6's advanced real-time MPEG-4 compression. Recording in the global multimedia standard, MPEG-4 delivers exceptional video clarity and detail while being exceptionally efficient in the way it records digital information. The results are high quality videos that are saved in smaller files.
Inside the CG6 digital media camera is an advanced 6.37-megapixel (total) CCD image sensor. The large sensor allows the CG6 to capture high-resolution 6 megapixel still images in addition to recording high-quality digital videos with full-range stereo sound.
The CG6 can record up to a total of 8 hours of full motion video or over 4,000 6-Megapixel still images on a 8 GB SDHC memory card, up to 4 hours of video with a 4 GB SDHC memory card, up to 2 hours with a 2 GB standard SD card, and up to 1 hours with a 1 GB standard SD card.
