We have an older Samsung DLP HD TV which only has one HDMI port on it.

For the most part this as fine because the only thing that was plugged into the HDMI port was the BluRay DVD player. Our HD cable box only had the component cables which worked out fine.

Then when we had to replace the cable box it only provided HDMI out for the HD.

For awhile we would just manually swap the HDMI cable which worked until we had to replace the BluRay player; the new one had Netflix, Hulu, etc. built in which our old one didn't.

So we found ourselves having to swap the cables a lot more frequently.

Found this little guy and it just works. It's small and it does what we need. Saved us from having to purchase a new HD TV.

I use it to connect an Xbox, ASUS Media Player, DVD player and a PC. Works like it is supposed to. No interference on any device. Audio passthrough works well. This device couldn't really be much simpler to use. Two small things about it are remembering which device is attached to which port and the onboard switch is a very small nub which can be inadvertantly tripped by any small thing.

I bought this item from a local company and works great. I got this to be able to switch between my PS3 and my 360, the only problem was they I would have to keep the 360 on if I wanted to use my PS3. I called IOgear about this and they sent my the power adapter at no charge and everything works. Just wish they would include the power adapter so would not have to be hasled with having them send me one.
