I have an old computer and the Burner stopped working and rather than install a new burner in this old machine, I went for a portable one. I did have a problem. I was unable to burn a CD using Roxio 7 and CDxp burner, but had no trouble with Nero 6 and with Miscrosofts media copier. It worked on both an XP and Win 7
