Comments about Generic 1.44MB USB External Floppy Disk Drive (Black):
This USB floppy drive works OK as long as it is used inside an OS environment (if a bit slow to read and/or write); otherwise, beware. It will kill floppies during initial boot or installing an OS from scratch (I wasted 5 floppies which were perfectly good just trying this out). The R/W head seems to latch on too hard when used in this manner.I would still recommend it, though. Just be careful.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was faster than expected (it arrived on February 9) and the package was intact and in perfect condition. Did not need the driver disk (used it with Windows XP). Cable is a bit short (had to use an extender cable).
