Apple's iPod nano gets even better!
This 6th generation MC688LL/A 8 GB nano has all the features of the earlier generation nano, improves them and provides even more features to fit your lifestyle. The curved aluminum design is built for the person on the go. Measuring in at a slim 1.48 x 1.61 x .35-inch and weighing only 0.74-ounces the MC688LL/A is perfect for travel, workouts, students...and everyone in between.
The MC688LL/A has been improved with a 1.54-inch Multi-Touch LCD with 240 x 240 resolution for clear, vibrant images. The built-in accelerometer allows you to "shake to shuffle" your music, alternate between portrait and landscape views and play movement responsive games.
The Genius feature will allow you to select songs you like to create auto-playlists based on the type of music. Genius will use your selections and search your library for other songs that will complement it for great playlists. You can play the playlist right away, save for later or refresh for another custom selection.
Also the 6th generation nano features a FM Radio with Live Pause. Tune into your favorite local FM channel to discover new artists, listen to favorite shows or catch the news. With Live Pause, you can pause the FM feed, rewind, fast forward through commercials and control your listening for up to 15 minutes at a time. If you hear something you like, you can use iTunes tagging to tag the song you heard. When you sync to iTunes, a custom list of all tagged songs will be provided for preview and purchasing.
The MC688LL/A also features a VoiceOver feature. Featuring over 20 languages, you can hear track names and artist names without ever looking at your nano! Designed to work seamlessly with iTunes, the VoiceOver Kit syncs and builds the announcements for artists, songs and playlists. Ideal for commuters and workouts at the gym!
Speaking of the gym, the MC688LL/A also is designed to be your new workout partner. Using the built-in accelerometer, the nano now doubles as a pedometer. Now you can easily keep track of your fitness goals.
