Comments about Cyber Snipa Fierce 5000 7-Button USB Laser Scroll Gaming Mouse w/5000 dpi & Adjustable Weight (Black):
I have been using this mouse for a few weeks now. I cant say that I am impressed. I was a little hesitant on buying this mouse from Geeks because of the hardware this site provides. Don't get me wrong, this is a wonderful site and they provide a wonderful service but this mouse arrived with high expectations and has fallen short on a few different cases.First, right out of the box, the rubber on the right side of the mouse was already peeling off. I didn't notice it until my wife said something to me. It continues to peel away from the mouse. I wonder how long this thing sat in a warehouse or storage until I bought it. Also, the Teflon pads on the bottom were already coming off. I had to move one back to its intended position and yet it still manages to creep over it. Is this why there were replacement pads with this mouse?Second, the mouse required breaking in. The buttons were stiff and unresponsive. After a few hours of use, they seem to be operating fine. This makes me wonder if this mouse will even live up to its guarantee.Third, while the mouse cable is coated with nylon, its like trying to straighten a wire cloths hanger. After being unraveled for this long, its still got the bends and kinks it had while in the box. This cable catches on anything and everything on my desktop and other cables below it.Fourth and probably the most important is the tracking. This is game breaking. Any movement whether it be on its Y axis or X axis it has a steady pulsing delay. Its as if the mouse has a stuttering, unresponsive delay for 1 second every 5 seconds. I intend on playing with the settings within the application it came with but if this doesn't fix it, I must return it. If I cant track bad guys because of this mouse, its not living up to its intended use.On the other side, this mouse feels well built. Its comfortable for a palm style player while comfortably located buttons. The other buttons on the left side of the LMB, however are hard to reach and very stiff from lack of use. I cannot find a good reason to use these at the moment. They are assigned certain key strokes but I just don't use them. The included weights make the mouse easier to control and twitching is reduced. However, the small case that holds the weights was unhinged and I had to snap it back together. It works as intended.DPI switching is always a must with FPS games. This feature allows me to reduce twitch when trying to scope in that enemy soldier. Very nice feature. The application that comes with the mouse is decent. While I have had better, this will allow you to assign certain keystrokes and macros to your button clicks. (BTW, rapid fire doesn't with this mouse and Battlefield 3. I am convinced DICE/EA put in countermeasures for this.)If I am able, I will update this feedback at a later time if I am able to address the issues.
