Comments about 2.5'' Element EN-2200-BK USB 2.0 Aluminum External SATA HDD Enclosure (Black) - Supports up to 500GB!:
I installed a WD 320Gb hard drive that came out of my laptop when I upgraded to a SSD. This is a working hard drive. When I plugged it into this case, it fit nice and tight to the connector and had plenty of height clearance for the inside of this case. All in all, it fits fine. The issue I have with this case is, when plugged into either my desktop or my laptop, it randomly disappears/disconnects. and the led on the front of the case flashes from greenish/yellow to orange. Nothing will make it reconnect again. I have to unplug it and wait an undetermined amount of time, then plug it back in to see if it shows up in windows again. I've never been a fan of the USB Y power tap cable, so I bought a non splitting USB cable (USB A male to USB A male) to see if that helps. If not, this case is going in the garbage. The "up" side of this is, it's cheap enough to chalk it up as a loss.
