Comments about Cool Power Performance CP-P600 600W 20+4-pin ATX Power Supply w/SATA, PCIe & Dual 12V Rails (Black):
I am a board level technician and I needed a dual 12V rail supply to supply 2 power hungry peltier junction fan combos. Well this one claims it's dual 12V rails (2 separate 12V supplies) at 17amp each so that means it should be good for 34amps total on the 2 12v supplies.Well it turns out the dual 12V rails is a complete lie, it's only 1 12v rail and probably closer to 12 amp than 34 amp. It's not just the Geeks advertising, it says it's dual on the box and right on the supply. It's a case of cheap knock off supply claiming to be more than what it is.It's claim of a 600W is probably closer to 350W. I just wish they would not lie on the product itself, no way at all to know it's true specs. If you are just using in an everyday computer this will probably be fine but if you are buying it because of the high power claims, look elsewhere.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Power for the Dollar

I mainly got this PSU as part of an AMD APU machine that I'll eventually change into either a Linux server or a Windows Media Center computer. This this is AMAZING. It has a killer wattage for the price and I've had nothing go wrong with this.If you're looking into building a low-end computer, an extra computer to mess around with in Linux, or a typical Media Center computer, this PSU will be pefrect with whatever you throw at it.The only bad thing about this PSU is that it does NOT come with a 4+4 pin 12V connector. If you need that for your motherboard, you would be best off finding a different PSU. If not, get this one. It works perfectly for me, so I don't see how it won't for anyone else.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
