Comments about IP Video 9100A Plus Network Video Server (Black) - Broadcast Video over the Web without a PC!:
I wanted to use as a stand-alone interface for home security. Even at lowest sensitivity, unit keeps detecting motion when nothing is moving on inputs. Tried several different cameras with same result. Other 'IP' stand-alone cameras are working fine. I guess I will need to buy more of them or use with host PC.

not too bad

Ok so I had this item for a few days for the most part I'm happy with it. There is a cd that comes with it that has directions that seem to loose some thing in translation to English. If you have some networking skills it should be fairly easy to set up. I had to mess with some setting on my firewall/router as I use a Linux based computer for that. I still have not quite got it so I can log on remotely to see video yet. That is not a big deal to me. What I really like is it has motion detection settings which can email pics of the event to your email or ftp server. I have it so it goes to my android phone and get an email alert with pics. That was really the most important thing for me. There is a host of software on the included cd to load onto your system to help set it up. I don't use windows so it was mostly all useless to me. Would of liked to see them set this up so all configuration could be done from the web browser with out any additional software on client machine. Video ports seem numbered backwards to me looking directly at them #4 is is the first in a left to right view. Also if running only one input make sure to turn off the others as it will cause issues with the video your viewing because the device wants to scan through the inputs to give you multi view. The screen display is a bit small fits in the browser window will not fill up the whole screen on the computer at least I have not figured out how to do that yet if it is possible. All in all I am happy with this could it be better sure but for the price you couldn't touch a security dvr and you would need a hard drive too. This will not store video but will live feed it to a computer on your lan or wan and with motion detection it will email you or send them to an ftp server that you have told it to in set up. Would I recommend this to a friend sure under the right application this is great solution for a cheap price and the size is not much bigger than a pack of cigarettes.
