Comments about Double Power Technology Inc. dopo T711 1GHz 512MB 4GB 7'' Capacitive Tablet Android 4.0 w/Camera & microSDHC Slot (Black):
This DOPO Android is a perfect example of what's available in the cheap tablet market. The quality of materials is not high, but it serves it's purpose. If you can't afford a $200+ android tablet (to say nothing of iPADs) then it's a candidate for you. Don't expect to play the latest games (or practically anything with animations) but browse, buy, and learn via the web all you want. If you have children that needs these capabilities then buy them one; or two. It does come with the Google App Store (although it will probably be labled "Market" when you first fire it up. It will update itself to the App Store app). You can download many useful apps via google, and being Android 4 it will be compatible with most.I was given one and use it daily. I've had to uninstall some apps that don't work well with the graphics capabilites although I'm not sure whether the problem is with the hardware or the 4.03 Android. The battery life, as all in this category (cheap Android tablets), is short - about 1.5-2 hrs of continuous use. It does recharge quickly and comes with it's own charger. It does NOT utilize a mini-USB for charging; it instead uses a proprietary charger with a 1/16" plug. The screen is bright enough but is not the most reactive touchscreen. It will take some getting used to.I also have an Asus Nexus 7 (far superior and more expensive) and an Avatar (another cheap Android bought at $69.95) and I would recommend either of those two over the DOPO. The Nexus is the pinnacle of Android tablets and the Avatar is a good cheap tablet although the screen is a little dim.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
