Well, it is real simple... this device worked for IDE drives perfectly, but would not power up SATA drives. Apparently the power supply is not working.

Handy and simple to use

This adapter comes in handy to recover data from a HDD in a dead PC. Simple to use. Comes with all necessary adapters for both IDE and SATA drives. Operates just like an External USB HDD. Not recommended as a permanent solution to be used as an External HDD.
