I use this in an IT environment to transfer large data files (Outlook .PST files, mostly) that take hours or days over the network otherwise. It's a little touchy (you can't move the cables once the transfer starts or it will error out) but it's MUCH faster than any other transfer method available to us. Be advised that the included transfer software REQUIRES admin rights on both machines to run!

I have been using this product for a year or so. Connection is inconsistent. Software often needs to be copied from the unit and executed on the source and target computers. Slow transfer rate that does not seem to be fully dependent on USB speed. It's worth twelve bucks - but not much more.I searched for better software, but found none.
