How to Enter

Geeks.com’s "Anniversary Celebration Sweepstakes" ("Sweepstakes") officially begins at 12:01 A.M. PT on August 18, 2008, and ends at 11:59 P.M. PT on August 24, 2008 ("Sweepstakes Period"). For purposes of this Sweepstakes, all times refer to Pacific Time ("PT").

Participants must complete the online subscription form found at http://www.geeks.com/contestentry.asp and subscribe to (or confirm subscription to) various of the "GeekMail" (TM) electronic mail (Email) newsletters (minimum of one). To enter, complete and submit the online subscription/confirmation entry form ("Registration Entry").

Information required on the Sweepstakes Entry Form consists of a VALID Internet Email address ("Entry Information").

Alternative Entry

Send a self-addressed, stamped envelope (with proper postage affixed) to: Geeks.com’s Anniversary Celebration Sweepstakes Entry, 1890 Ord Way, Oceanside, CA, 92056. All requests must be received by August 25, 2008.

Any attempted form of entry other than as described herein is invalid and void.

No purchase necessary.

Eligibility

Open only to persons who are 18 years of age or older and a resident of one of the 50 United States or Washington D.C. as of August 18, 2008. If an entrant is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a minor, he/she must obtain parental/legal guardian consent prior to entering or submitting any personally identifiable information.

Residents of US territories, commonwealths, posessions, etc., (e.g., Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, etc.,) are ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes. Under no circumstances shall any Prize be shipped to any destination other than one of the 50 United States or DC.

Employees and members of the immediate families (spouses, children, siblings, parents) and/or persons living in the same household as such persons, whether related or not, of Geeks.com ("Sponsor"), those involved in the production, development, implementation or handling of the Sweepstakes, and any agents acting for, or on behalf of the above entities, their respective parent companies, officers, directors, subsidiaries, affiliates, service providers, prize suppliers and/or any other person or entity associated with Sweepstakes (collectively "Sweepstakes Entities") are ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes.

Prizes/Odds of Winning

One (1) Prize per person will be awarded. Persons winning Prizes are eligible to win the Grand Prize.

Prizes may be of either "new" or "refurbished" condition.

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible Entries received. Winners are solely responsible for any and all costs, incidentals, and any other expenses not specifically mentioned as being included. No substitution, transfers, or cash equivalent for any Prize. Any depiction of Prizes is for illustrative purposes only; actual prizes awarded may vary substantially. All federal, state, or other taxes associated with winning a Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Winner Drawings and Notification

The Prize Winners ("Winners") will be randomly selected in a drawing held on or about August 26th at 1890 Ord Way, Oceanside, CA, 92056, from among all eligible Entries received by Sponsor. To account for non-business calendar days, Sponsor reserves the right to draw multiple Winners on select business days falling before or after certain calendar days. If a Winner is a resident of a state that deems him/her to be a minor, prize may be awarded in the name of his/her parent/legal guardian.

Winner need not be present to win and will be notified via the valid Email address provided during Entry.

Except where prohibited by law, potential Winners (or his/her parent or legal guardian, if a minor) are required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and a Publicity Release ("Affidavit/Release"). Affidavit/Release must be returned by email within ten (10) days of receipt by potential Winner or potential Winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential Winner will be selected. By returning a completed Affidavit/Release, potential Winners attest to the authenticity of their Entry. If a potential Winner does not respond within ten (10) days of notification, responds with incomplete information, if he/she is found to be ineligible, or if he/she cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules, such potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential Winner will be selected.

Winner notification will adhere to the following schedule:

Initial notification and request for Affidavit/Release will be sent to potential Winners by Sweepstakes Administrator within two (2) business days of selecting each potential Winner.

Complete response to Sweepstakes Administrator’s request for Affidavit/Release is required from potential Winner within five (5) days of initial notification.

If no complete response to the initial request for Affidavit/Release is received by Sweepstakes Administrator within five (5) days of initial notification, a reminder email will be sent.

If there is no complete response to the reminder email within five (5) days of being sent, potential Winner will be deemed to have forfeited any and all right, title, and interest in Prize and potential Winner will be notified by email of such occurrence. An alternate potential Winner will then be selected. A maximum of one potential alternate Winner will be drawn for every Prize which, if not awarded as set forth above, will remain the property of Sponsor.

General Sweepstakes Conditions

Sweepstakes is subject to these Official Rules and all federal, state, and local laws (collectively "Rules and Laws") and by participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules and Laws, as well as the decisions of the Sweepstakes Sponsor which are final and binding in all respects. Once submitted, Entries become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor has the right to modify, use, assign and/or dispose of Entries however it sees fit and for any purpose without any notice or compensation to entrant or any third parties. Any personal information supplied by entrants to Sponsor or its affiliates will be subject to Sponsor's Privacy Policy and terms of service posted at: http://www.Geeks.com/policies.asp.

Thus, except where prohibited by law, entry and/or a winner's (winner's parent/legal guardian, if winner is a minor) acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for the Sweepstakes Entities to use that winner's name and address (city and state) for publicity purposes worldwide and in all forms of media (including posting on web site), in perpetuity, without further notice to, or compensation in connection with said Sweepstakes or the prize awarded. By entering, Sweepstakes entrants and/or prize recipients agree to the following: To indemnify and hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities from any and all liability resulting or arising from the Sweepstakes; to release all rights to bring any claim, action or proceeding against the Sweepstakes Entities; and to waive any rights to claim ambiguity with the Official Rules. Any person attempting to defraud or tamper with this Sweepstakes will be prosecuted and is not eligible for a Prize. If, for any reason, Sweepstakes, or any portion thereof, is not capable of running as originally planned, Sponsor at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Sweepstakes or any portion(s) thereof and conduct the drawing from among all salvageable eligible Entries received, if any.

Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible or liable for entries that are entered by other than human means (such as by an automated computer program or any non-human mechanism, entity, or device), or for entries that are illegible, late, (including delayed data transmissions), mutilated, tampered with, forged, incomplete, misdirected, lost, misplaced, mechanically reproduced, mass machine printed, stolen, destroyed or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules and such entries will be disqualified. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, Internet service provider, computer equipment, software, inability to access any Web site or online service, or any other error or malfunction. By entering Sweepstakes, entrants agree and acknowledge that Sweepstakes Entities shall have no responsibility or liability (including, but not limited to, liability for any property loss, damage, personal injury or death) in connection/participation with: this Sweepstakes; acceptance/possession, use/misuse or defects of the Prizes awarded herein; Registrations/Sign up; any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, Internet service provider, computer online system, computer dating mechanism, computer equipment, software; or any damage to entrants (or any third person's) computer and/or its contents related to or resulting from any part of this Sweepstakes even if caused by the negligence of one of the Sweepstakes Entities. Entrants further acknowledge that said Sweepstakes Entities have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize.

All such requests must be received by August 25, 2008. Sweepstakes Winners' first name, last initial, city and state of residence, and Prize awarded may also be posted on the Sweepstakes Web Site or any other website property owned and operated by Geeks.com.
